PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

This is a paid, full-time Pharmacy Intern position for Summer 2026. You will work on-site in a retail pharmacy setting, supporting the pharmacist and assisting customers with their medication needs.

What you'll do#

• Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products throughout the store.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense medication and ensure prescriptions are bagged and delivered to customers correctly.
• Contact prescribers’ offices for authorization and communicate with insurance companies as needed.
• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Maintain the pharmacy department, including stocking incoming orders and managing inventory.
• Assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations and provide drug counseling to customers.
• Report any safety risks, accidents, or prescription incidents to management or the pharmacist on duty.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to provide drug counseling and make over-the-counter recommendations.
• Strong conflict management skills, with the ability to remain cooperative and nonconfrontational.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance to resolve business or customer issues.
• Commitment to maintaining honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
