About the role#
Kroger is hiring a Pharmacy Student for an on-site role in Indianapolis. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term. You will support the pharmacy team by assisting the pharmacist, leading shift operations, and ensuring high standards of customer service.
What you'll do#
- Create a positive experience for every customer.
- Assist the pharmacist with daily tasks, excluding those requiring professional judgment.
- Lead shifts by delegating station rotations and solving operational issues.
- Train pharmacy associates and guide new technicians through their training program.
- Enter patient data, perform post-fill audits, and support Medication Therapy Management services.
- Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient privacy.
- Act as a safety lead by identifying hazards, reinforcing sanitation guidelines, and coaching staff on safety procedures.
- Handle financial transactions and follow guidelines for restricted sale items.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
- Completion of national or state intern registration, certification, or licensure.
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to obtain immunization certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
