PHARMACY/PHARMCST-STUDENT

About the role#

This position offers pharmacy students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a retail setting. You will support pharmacy operations, assist with patient care initiatives, and help lead the pharmacy team under the guidance of a pharmacist.

What you'll do#

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
• Support workflow and pharmacist oversight by providing shift leadership, delegating station rotations, and resolving operational issues.
• Assist the pharmacist with all responsibilities that do not require professional pharmacist judgment.
• Provide daily training support for pharmacy associates and assist new technicians through the training program.
• Enter patient information accurately into the computer system and assist with Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient privacy.
• Act as a pharmacy safety subject matter expert, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
• Manage electronic fund transactions and follow guidelines for restricted sale items.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
• Completion of national and/or state intern registration, certification, or licensure as required by the state.
• At least 1 year of retail experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current CPR certification.
• Certification in immunizations or the ability to become certified.
• Ability to perform all essential functions of a Pharmacy Certified Technician.
