Pharmacy Student Intern - Nashville Division (Middle Tennessee Locations)

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Student Intern in the Nashville Division, you will support pharmacy operations while gaining hands-on experience in a retail setting. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining safety standards, and assisting the pharmacy team in achieving operational and sales goals.

What you'll do#

• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Offer drug counseling and assist customers with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Maintain deep knowledge of pharmaceutical products to discuss options with customers and prescribers.
• Manage prescription workflows, including data entry, processing third-party insurance, contacting prescribers for authorization, and dispensing medication.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment.
• Handle inventory tasks, such as checking incoming orders, stocking shelves, and returning unused medication to stock.
• Report safety risks, incidents, or illegal activities to management and the pharmacist on duty.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A valid, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to promote trust and respect among associates and create a welcoming environment for customers.
