About the role#
This is a paid Pharmacy Student Intern position within the Nashville Division, covering various locations across Middle Tennessee. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations while gaining hands-on experience in a retail setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
- Administer immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Manage prescription processing, including inputting patient data, contacting prescribers for authorization, and processing third-party insurance claims.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking incoming orders, stocking shelves, and returning unused stock.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized department environment.
- Assist the department manager in meeting sales and profit goals while monitoring quality assurance standards.
- Provide drug counseling and answer customer questions regarding pharmaceutical products.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A valid, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- Ability to promote trust and respect among team members.
- Proficiency in discussing pharmaceutical products with customers and prescribers.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
