About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity for the Summer 2026 term. As a Pharmacy Student intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting, supporting the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering patient care and maintaining operational standards.
What you'll do#
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
- Support workflow and pharmacist oversight through shift leadership, including delegating station rotations.
- Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities, excluding those that require professional pharmacist judgment.
- Provide day-to-day training support for pharmacy associates and assist with the technician training program.
- Enter patient information into the system, perform post-fill audits, and support Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA, and report any illegal activity.
- Act as a safety subject matter expert, reinforcing sanitation and safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
- Completion of national and/or state intern registration, certification, or licensure as required by state regulations.
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Certified or ability to be certified in immunizations.
