About the role#
Kroger is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with a rolling term. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to provide patient care and support pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling to customers.
- Offer recommendations for over-the-counter medications.
- Input patient and prescription data into the pharmacy computer system.
- Dispense the correct medication to patients.
- Administer immunizations under pharmacist supervision.
- Accept and interpret oral and written prescriptions.
- Manage insurance information and contact prescribers for authorization.
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and manage medication stock.
- Assist customers of all ages, including minors and older adults.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a busy environment while maintaining honesty and integrity.
