About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the pharmacy team in providing safe and accurate care to our customers. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to ensure that patients receive their medications correctly and have their questions answered. This role requires a focus on accuracy, safety, and customer service.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
- Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Dispense the correct medication and bag prescriptions for delivery to customers.
- Provide immunizations under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Contact prescribers' offices and insurance companies for necessary authorizations.
- Accept and interpret oral and written prescriptions for fill or refill.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy department.
- Process third-party insurance information and facilitate charge purchases.
- Manage inventory by checking, stocking, and returning unused medication bottles.
- Report safety risks, incidents, and illegal activity to management or the pharmacist on duty.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A valid, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Location: Pocatello, Idaho.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- The role is on-site and follows a rolling term.
