About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern position based in Glendale, Arizona. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations and provide direct care to customers under the guidance of licensed pharmacists.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling and assist with over the counter medication recommendations.
- Accurately input patient and prescription data into the pharmacy system.
- Dispense correct medications and bag prescriptions for customer pickup.
- Administer immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Process third party insurance information and coordinate with insurance companies or prescribers as needed.
- Accept and interpret oral or written prescriptions for refills.
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness, stock incoming orders, and manage inventory.
- Assist customers with questions and provide support to diverse populations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A valid, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a busy environment.
- Skills to manage conflict in a nonconfrontational and professional manner.
- Commitment to honesty, integrity, and safety regarding all customer and business information.
