About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the guidance of a registered pharmacist to support patient care and pharmacy operations. This role focuses on building clinical skills and learning how to manage pharmacy services in a community environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform all tasks under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor.
- Fill prescriptions while following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Consult with customers and health care professionals about prescriptions, drug therapy, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, and disease state management.
- Help implement company initiatives to improve pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedules.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to cooperate with others.
