About the role#
This internship provides pharmacy students the chance to gain practical skills in a retail setting. You will work under the guidance of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to support patient care and pharmacy operations. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Perform all duties under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Fill prescriptions while following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services such as immunizations, vaccinations, MTM, and point of care testing.
- Support company initiatives to improve pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to cooperate with others.
