About the role#
This internship is a 12-week program running from January 11 to April 23, 2027. You will work under the guidance of project managers and construction managers to support capital projects. The role involves hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development while you contribute to the successful completion of construction assignments.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with essential job functions, including pre-remodel checklists and fixture drawings.
- Help execute the contractor bid process.
- Support the preparation and tracking of equipment orders to ensure deliveries align with construction schedules.
- Manage store fixture installations and conduct site inspections for quality control.
- Coordinate reviews of refrigeration and electrical or mechanical plans.
- Participate in department meetings and huddles.
- Assist with project closeout tasks such as punch lists, as-builts, and final invoicing.
- Complete a cumulative project to present to the management team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Prior experience in a construction environment.
- Strong initiative and the ability to work independently or in a group setting.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
