About the role#
This is a 12-week internship program running from January 11 to April 23, 2027. You will work under the guidance of project managers and construction managers to support capital projects. You will gain hands-on experience in the retail construction environment while completing a cumulative project to present to the executive team.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with essential job functions, including pre-remodel checklists and fixture drawings.
- Support the contractor bid process and attend weekly project meetings.
- Manage equipment orders, track deliveries, and oversee store fixture installations.
- Assist with project closeout tasks like punch lists, final invoicing, and filing.
- Inspect projects for quality control and compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate reviews of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration plans.
- Review proposed change orders and architectural plans for compliance.
- Complete estimates and manage minor capital projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering, or Architecture.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Prior experience in a construction environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Must have legal work authorization in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
