About the role#
This 12-week internship offers hands-on experience in construction project engineering. Interns work under the guidance of project managers and construction managers to support capital projects and facility engineering initiatives. The program includes mentorship, professional development, and the opportunity to present a cumulative project to the executive team.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with essential job functions, including pre-remodel checklists and fixture drawings.
- Support the contractor bid process and participate in weekly project meetings.
- Manage equipment orders, track deliveries, and oversee store fixture installations.
- Conduct inspections for quality control and compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate the review of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical plans with technical staff.
- Review architecture plans and proposed change orders for validity and compliance.
- Complete estimates and manage the execution of minor capital projects.
- Prepare and present a cumulative project summary to the executive team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Prior experience working in a construction environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Must possess work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January 11 – April 23, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
