PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern at Kroger, you will support the pharmacy department in delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining efficient operations. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, assisting with medication management, and supporting the pharmacy team in a clinical retail environment.

What you'll do#

• Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system and dispense medications.
• Administer immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Facilitate communication with prescribers for authorizations and with insurance companies to process claims.
• Assist the department manager in meeting sales and profit goals while maintaining quality assurance standards.
• Manage inventory by checking incoming orders, stocking medications, and returning unused stock.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming pharmacy environment for all customers.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A valid, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Strong conflict management skills, with the ability to handle situations in a nonconfrontational manner.
• Commitment to maintaining honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary.
