About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This position supports the pharmacist in daily operations while you continue your education. You will play a key role in maintaining department standards and ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
What you'll do#
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
- Support workflow and pharmacist oversight through shift leadership and delegating tasks.
- Ensure execution of department standards by leading by example.
- Provide day-to-day training support for pharmacy associates.
- Assist the pharmacist in responsibilities that do not require professional judgment.
- Enter patient information into the computer system accurately and efficiently.
- Support health and wellness initiatives and Medication Therapy Management services.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and all local, state, and federal safety and sanitation guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
- Completion of national and/or state intern registration, certification, or licensure as required.
- At least 18 years of age.
- 1 year of retail experience.
- Ability to understand and adhere to guidelines regarding restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, and fireworks.
- Certification in immunizations or the ability to become certified.
