About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting pharmacy operations and assisting pharmacists in their daily responsibilities. This role focuses on maintaining high department standards, ensuring safety compliance, and providing excellent customer service. You will also serve as a leader for pharmacy associates, helping to train new team members and managing daily workflow.
What you'll do#
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
- Support workflow and pharmacist oversight through shift leadership, station delegation, and problem-solving.
- Provide day-to-day training support for pharmacy associates and assist new technicians through training programs.
- Assist the pharmacist in all tasks that do not require professional pharmacist judgment.
- Enter patient information accurately, perform post-fill audits, and support Medication Therapy Management services.
- Ensure execution of department standards by leading by example.
- Act as a pharmacy safety subject matter expert, reinforcing sanitation guidelines and identifying unsafe conditions.
- Handle electronic fund transactions and adhere to policies regarding restricted sale items.
- Maintain current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
- Completion of national and/or state intern registration, certification, or licensure.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Minimum of 1 year of retail experience.
- Certification in immunizations or the ability to become certified.
- Ability to understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company safety policies.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
