About the role#
This is a 12-week internship running from January 11 to April 23, 2027. You will work under the guidance of project managers and construction managers to support capital projects. The role focuses on gaining hands-on experience in construction project engineering while contributing to store remodel and installation tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with essential job functions, including pre-remodel checklists and fixture drawings.
- Help execute the contractor bid process and participate in weekly job meetings.
- Manage equipment orders, track deliveries, and oversee store fixture installations.
- Inspect capital projects to ensure they meet quality control and design specifications.
- Review architecture plans, change orders, and electrical or mechanical layouts.
- Handle project closeout tasks like punch lists, final invoicing, and filing.
- Complete a cumulative project summarizing your internship accomplishments to present to the executive team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, or Industrial Engineering degree program.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Prior experience working in a construction environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently or in a group.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
