PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

This is a paid, full-time Pharmacy Intern position at Kroger. The role involves supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring high standards of customer service, and assisting the department manager in meeting sales and quality goals.

What you'll do#

• Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system and dispense correct medications.
• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Facilitate prescription processing, including contacting prescribers for authorization and managing third-party insurance information.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking incoming orders, stocking items, and managing unused stock.
• Support a safe environment by reporting safety risks, accidents, or incidents to management.
• Assist customers with questions and provide support to diverse populations, including older adults and individuals with special needs.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Strong conflict management skills, with the ability to remain professional and nonconfrontational.
• High standards of honesty and integrity regarding business and customer information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
