About the role#
This is a 12-week internship running from January 11 to April 23, 2027. You will work under the guidance of project managers and construction managers to support capital projects. Interns gain hands-on experience through assigned tasks, professional development, and mentorship. You will also complete a cumulative project to present to the management team at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with daily job functions, including pre-remodel checklists and drawing reviews.
- Help execute the contractor bid process.
- Participate in department meetings and team huddles.
- Track equipment orders and coordinate delivery schedules.
- Support the management of store fixture installations and project closeout tasks like punch lists and final invoicing.
- Inspect projects for quality control and compliance with specifications.
- Review architecture, refrigeration, and electrical plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong initiative and a motivated approach to your work.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyze information for business needs.
- Prior experience in a construction environment is a plus.
- Must have work authorization that does not require sponsorship.
