About the role#
This 12-week internship provides hands-on experience in construction project engineering. You will work under the guidance of project managers and construction managers to support capital projects, gain exposure to industry leadership, and complete a cumulative project to present to the management team.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with essential job functions, including pre-remodel checklists and fixture or refrigeration drawings.
- Support the contractor bid process and participate in weekly job meetings.
- Manage equipment orders, track deliveries, and oversee store fixture installations.
- Assist with project closeout tasks such as punch lists, as-builts, and final invoicing.
- Inspect capital projects to ensure compliance with specifications and quality control standards.
- Coordinate the review of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical plans with technical staff.
- Review architecture plans for completeness and compliance with company standards.
- Complete estimates and manage minor capital projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work both independently and in groups.
- Prior experience in a construction environment.
- A high level of motivation and a desire to take initiative.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze information for business needs.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January 11 through April 23).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
