About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in construction project engineering. You will work under the guidance of project managers and senior construction managers to support capital projects. This is a 12-week program running from January 11 to April 23, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with daily job functions and project execution.
- Help manage the contractor bid process.
- Track equipment orders and coordinate delivery schedules to align with construction timelines.
- Support project closeout tasks such as punch lists, as-builts, and final invoicing.
- Participate in department meetings and team huddles.
- Review architecture, electrical, and mechanical plans for compliance with company standards.
- Inspect projects to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or Architecture degree program.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Prior experience in a construction environment.
- Ability to analyze and interpret information to meet business needs.
- Motivation to take initiative on assigned work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in groups.
