PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the pharmacy team in providing exceptional service and maintaining high quality assurance standards. This role involves direct interaction with customers, assisting with medication management, and supporting the department manager in achieving sales and operational goals.

What you'll do#

• Dispense medications accurately and provide drug counseling to customers.
• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Process third-party insurance information and contact insurance companies or prescribers as needed.
• Input patient and prescription data into the pharmacy system and manage prescription fills and refills.
• Assist customers with over-the-counter medication recommendations and answer product questions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
• Stock incoming orders and manage medication inventory.
• Support the department manager in meeting sales and profit goals.
• Address safety risks, accidents, or incidents by notifying management or the pharmacist on duty.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A valid, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Strong conflict management skills, with the ability to handle situations in a nonconfrontational manner.
• Commitment to honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary.
