About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student intern, you will work on-site at our West Lafayette location. This role supports the pharmacy team by managing daily operations and patient data while gaining practical experience in a retail setting. You will assist the pharmacist with tasks that do not require professional judgment and help maintain a safe, compliant environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with daily tasks and pharmacy operations.
- Enter patient information into the system with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide day-to-day training support and guidance for pharmacy associates.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Report any illegal activity, such as theft or fraud, to management.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company privacy policies.
- Maintain safety standards and report any unsafe conditions or equipment repairs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
- Completion of national or state intern registration, certification, or licensure as required by the state.
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current CPR certification.
- Certification in immunizations or the ability to obtain it.
