About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work on-site to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This position supports the pharmacy team in daily operations while you continue your education in pharmaceutical sciences. You will work under the guidance of a pharmacist to ensure the pharmacy runs effectively.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with daily tasks, excluding duties that require professional pharmacist judgment.
- Enter patient information into the computer system with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide daily training support for pharmacy associates and assist in monitoring new technicians.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company privacy policies.
- Perform post-fill audits and help maintain Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services.
- Support pharmacy workflow and help resolve operational issues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Completion of national or state intern registration, certification, or licensure.
- Current certification in immunizations, or the ability to become certified.
