About the role#
This is a 12-week internship program running from January 11 to April 23, 2027. You will work under the guidance of project managers and senior project managers to support construction projects. This position involves hands-on training and professional development within the Facility Engineering department.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with essential job functions, including pre-remodel checklists and fixture drawings.
- Support the contractor bid process.
- Help track equipment orders and schedule deliveries to match the construction timeline.
- Participate in weekly job meetings and departmental huddles.
- Assist with store fixture installation and project closeout tasks like punch lists and final invoicing.
- Inspect capital projects for quality control and compliance.
- Review architecture plans and change orders for accuracy.
- Complete a cumulative project to present to the management team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently or in a group.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
