About the role#
This is a full-time pharmacy internship for Summer 2026. You will work on-site in Salt Lake City, Utah, gaining hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This position is paid.
What you'll do#
- Provide exceptional service to create a positive customer experience.
- Assist the department manager in meeting sales and profit goals.
- Discuss pharmaceutical products with customers and prescribers.
- Provide drug counseling and offer recommendations for over-the-counter medications.
- Accurately input patient data and dispense the correct medication.
- Process prescriptions, insurance information, and third-party authorizations.
- Administer immunizations under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment.
- Manage inventory by checking orders and stocking shelves.
- Handle conflict and resolve issues in a professional, cooperative manner.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding business and customer information.
- Skill in working cooperatively within a busy environment.
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
