PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

This is a paid, full-time Pharmacy Intern position for Summer 2026. You will work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee, supporting pharmacy operations while gaining hands-on experience in a retail environment.

What you'll do#

• Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense the correct medication and facilitate the delivery of filled prescriptions.
• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized department environment.
• Interact directly with customers, including minors, older adults, and individuals with special needs, to provide support and answer questions.
• Handle administrative tasks such as contacting prescribers for authorization and processing third-party insurance information.
• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Monitor inventory, including checking incoming orders and stocking medications.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Skill in managing conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
• Ability to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
