PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern at Kroger, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This position focuses on providing exceptional customer service while supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations, quality assurance, and patient care.

What you'll do#

• Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system and dispense medications.
• Facilitate the prescription process by contacting prescribers for authorizations and managing third-party insurance information.
• Bag filled prescriptions and deliver them to customers accurately.
• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals while monitoring quality assurance standards.
• Manage inventory by stocking incoming orders and returning unused medication stock bottles.
• Maintain a clean and safe department, reporting any safety risks or incidents to management.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A valid, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Strong conflict-management skills, with the ability to remain professional and nonconfrontational.
• Capability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
