PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern position for Summer 2026. You will work on-site in a retail environment, supporting pharmacy operations while gaining hands-on experience in clinical and administrative tasks.

What you'll do#

• Create an outstanding customer experience by providing exceptional service and answering questions about products.
• Assist the department manager in meeting sales and profit objectives.
• Dispense medications accurately and provide drug counseling to customers.
• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Manage pharmacy administrative tasks, including processing insurance information, contacting prescribers for authorization, and inputting patient data.
• Maintain the pharmacy department by stocking orders, cleaning, and managing medication inventory.
• Communicate effectively with customers, prescribers, and insurance companies while maintaining patient confidentiality.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Capacity to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
• Experience or ability to provide support to diverse populations, including minors, older adults, and individuals with special needs.
• Commitment to honesty, integrity, and safety protocols.
