PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the pharmacy department in delivering exceptional service and maintaining operational standards. This role involves direct patient interaction, prescription processing, and assisting the pharmacy team in meeting sales and profit goals.

What you'll do#

• Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Accurately input patient data, dispense medications, and process third-party insurance claims.
• Accept and interpret oral and written prescriptions for new fills and refills.
• Bag filled prescriptions and deliver them accurately to customers.
• Administer immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Maintain department cleanliness, manage inventory, and stock incoming orders.
• Communicate with prescribers for authorization and contact insurance companies as needed.
• Assist the department manager in monitoring quality assurance and achieving performance goals.
• Maintain a safe environment and report any safety risks, accidents, or incidents to management.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively and manage conflict in a professional manner.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity regarding patient and business information.
