PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

This is a paid, on-site Pharmacy Intern position for Summer 2026. You will support the pharmacy department in daily operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing and high-quality customer service while working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

What you'll do#

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
• Dispense correct medications and accurately input patient and prescription data.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and offer recommendations for over-the-counter medications.
• Administer immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions and providing assistance.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including checking incoming orders and stocking shelves.
• Coordinate with prescribers and insurance companies to resolve authorization or coverage issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe department, reporting any safety risks or incidents to management.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy (majors in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Nursing).
• A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to manage conflict in a cooperative and nonconfrontational manner.
• Strong commitment to honesty and integrity regarding business and customer information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
