PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers. You will act as a key point of contact for patients and prescribers, ensuring high standards of service and accuracy in all pharmacy operations.

What you'll do#

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and clear communication.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and offer recommendations for over-the-counter medications.
• Gain and maintain deep knowledge of pharmaceutical products to discuss them competently with customers and prescribers.
• Assist with prescription fulfillment, including dispensing medication, contacting prescribers for authorization, and processing third-party insurance.
• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Manage inventory by stocking incoming orders, checking shipments, and returning unused stock.
• Maintain department cleanliness and report safety risks or incidents to management immediately.

What you'll need#

• Current active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A valid, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a professional environment while managing conflict and sensitive information with integrity.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
