Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

Kroger is seeking a Pharmacy Intern for a full-time, paid summer 2026 internship in Salem, Oregon. This on-site role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, supporting pharmacy operations, and assisting the department manager in meeting sales and profit goals.

What you'll do#

• Create an outstanding customer experience through service and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense the correct medication and facilitate the accurate delivery of filled prescriptions.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Manage administrative tasks including processing insurance information, contacting prescribers for authorization, and maintaining inventory.
• Collaborate with the team to resolve customer and business issues while adhering to safety and quality assurance standards.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Commitment to promoting trust, respect, honesty, and integrity among associates.
• Capability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
