About the role#

This position offers pharmacy students the opportunity to gain practical experience within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a retail environment designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and real-world practice, preparing you for a future career as a community pharmacist.

What you'll do#

• Acknowledge all customers approaching the pharmacy and provide health, beauty, and convenience services.
• Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including maintaining customer confidentiality and managing consent.
• Enhance your knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
• Develop the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy environment.
• Improve communication skills by interacting with patients, pharmacy staff, and other healthcare workers.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
• A passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• A foundational understanding of OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
• The ability to effectively manage tasks within a retail pharmacy environment.
• Strong communication skills to engage with patients and healthcare professionals.
