About the role#
This position offers practical experience for future pharmacists within a community pharmacy setting. Interns will gain exposure to the expanding roles of a community pharmacist while working in a retail environment. This is a part-time, hourly role with flexible shifts.
What you'll do#
- Acknowledge all customers approaching the pharmacy and provide an exceptional shopping experience.
- Manage retail pharmacy operations effectively.
- Deliver health and beauty services to the community.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Engage in patient counseling and disease state management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products and drug therapy.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, employees, and healthcare workers.
- Ability to maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent protocols.
- Commitment to team collaboration.
