About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students pursuing a career in pharmacy within a community retail setting. You will work in a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store, gaining exposure to the expanding roles of a community pharmacist while balancing academic commitments with flexible, part-time shifts.
What you'll do#
- Greet and acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including maintaining customer confidentiality and managing consent.
- Maintain a professional appearance to remain clearly identifiable to the public.
- Engage in real-world training to support the delivery of health and wellness services.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program, such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A desire to enhance communication skills when interacting with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- An interest in expanding knowledge regarding over-the-counter products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- An interest in learning the skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.

- Location: 1020 Denman St, Vancouver, BC.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge.
- Schedule: Part-time with flexible shifts.
