About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students pursuing careers in pharmacy within a community setting. You will work in a retail environment designed to enhance your academic training, focusing on the expanding roles of the community pharmacist and the daily operations of a pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Support the practice of pharmacy in a community setting, including drug therapy and patient counseling.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant field such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Health Administration, Biomedical Sciences, or Public Health.
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and other healthcare workers.
- An understanding of disease state management.
- The ability to learn the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
Location & details#
- Location: Coquitlam, British Columbia.
- Schedule: Part-time with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
- Work Modality: On-site.
