About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly position for a pharmacy student at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Burnaby. This role provides practical, real-world training in a community pharmacy setting to supplement academic studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health. You will gain experience in disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling while working under an Associate-Owner.
What you'll do#
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure customer confidentiality and manage consent in compliance with all privacy requirements.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Help deliver health and beauty services to the community.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare workers.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products and disease state management.
- Prior experience in customer service.
- Ability to adhere to all privacy and confidentiality requirements.

- Pay: $22.00 - $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and location.
