About the role#
This internship provides practical experience for future pharmacists within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a locally owned and operated store, gaining real-world training to complement your academic studies while learning about the expanding role of the community pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Acknowledge all customers approaching the pharmacy and provide an exceptional shopping experience.
- Ensure all privacy requirements, including customer confidentiality and consent management, are met.
- Maintain clear visibility to the public while on duty.
- Develop skills in OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Enhance communication skills with patients, employees, and other health care workers.
- Learn the essential skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program related to Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Health Administration, or Biomedical Sciences.
- A commitment to putting the customer at the center of your work.
