About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly position for a pharmacy student at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Richmond, British Columbia. The role provides practical experience in a community pharmacy setting to prepare future pharmacists for professional practice. Students will gain exposure to retail pharmacy management, patient counseling, and disease state management while supporting the daily operations of the pharmacy department.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Assist with disease state management and drug therapy.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent in compliance with privacy requirements.
- Enhance communication skills by interacting with patients, staff, and other healthcare workers.
- Gain knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products.
- Learn the operational skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program related to Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health.
- A commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality standards.
- Ability to work on-site in a retail environment.

- Location: 5555 Gilbert Road, Unit 155, Richmond, BC.
- Schedule: Part-time, day shifts.
- Pay: $22.00 - $28.75 per hour, based on experience and knowledge.
- Term: Rolling.
