About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly position for a pharmacy student at a Shoppers Drug Mart location in Richmond, British Columbia. The role provides practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, focusing on patient interaction, retail pharmacy management, and clinical support.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers by acknowledging all individuals who approach the pharmacy.
- Assist with disease state management and drug therapy.
- Maintain strict customer confidentiality and manage consent requirements.
- Learn the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy operation.
- Enhance your ability to communicate with patients, employees, and other healthcare workers.
- Expand your knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products.
- Prepare for a future career as a pharmacist by gaining experience in a community setting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program related to Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health.
- A commitment to ensuring all privacy and confidentiality requirements are met.
- An interest in developing patient counseling and clinical skills.

- Location: 5555 Gilbert Road, Unit 155, Richmond, BC.
- Schedule: Part-time, day shifts, rolling term.
- Compensation: $22.00 - $28.75 per hour, based on experience and knowledge.
