Pharmacy Intern, Hourly Part Time Day

About the role#

This position offers practical, real-world experience for future pharmacists within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a retail environment designed to enhance your academic training, providing exposure to the expanding roles of a community pharmacist and the skills necessary to manage pharmacy operations.

What you'll do#

• Acknowledge all customers approaching the pharmacy.
• Ensure customer confidentiality and manage consent requirements.
• Maintain clear identification to the public while on duty.
• Assist in the delivery of health, beauty, and convenience services.
• Engage in patient counseling and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare workers.
• Apply knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, and drug therapy.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment or background in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health.
• Strong communication skills.
• Understanding of drug therapy and disease state management.
• Knowledge of OTC products and patient counseling techniques.
