About the role#
This Pharmacy Intern position offers practical, real-world training within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a locally owned and operated store, gaining exposure to the expanding role of the community pharmacist while preparing for a successful career in the field. This is a full-time, paid internship with flexible scheduling.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Acknowledge all customers approaching the pharmacy and ensure their needs are met.
- Maintain strict adherence to privacy requirements, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Learn to manage a retail pharmacy environment through practical, hands-on experience.
- Develop skills in patient counseling, over-the-counter (OTC) product knowledge, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Enhance communication skills by interacting with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
