Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

This is a paid, full-time Pharmacy Intern position based in a community retail pharmacy setting. The role is designed to provide practical, real-world training for future pharmacists, exposing them to the expanding responsibilities of the profession while working under a local Associate-Owner.

What you'll do#

• Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
• Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
• Learn to manage a retail pharmacy environment, including disease state management and drug therapy.
• Develop patient counseling skills and knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products.
• Enhance professional communication skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare workers.
• Maintain strict adherence to privacy requirements, customer confidentiality, and consent management.
• Acknowledge and assist all customers approaching the pharmacy counter.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment or background in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
• A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and customer service.
• Ability to work in an on-site, community-focused retail environment.
