About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Saskatoon. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting to complement your academic studies. This role focuses on patient interaction and the day-to-day operations of a retail pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage patient confidentiality and ensure all privacy requirements are met.
- Assist with over-the-counter product recommendations, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Provide patient counseling to support health outcomes.
- Learn about the evolving responsibilities of a community pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- You must be a future pharmacist currently pursuing a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- A genuine interest in community pharmacy practice.
- A strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and managing consent.
