About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students in a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a locally owned store to help deliver health and convenience services. The role is designed to prepare future pharmacists for success by providing real world training that complements your academic studies. You will gain exposure to the expanding roles of a community pharmacist while working with a local business owner.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage privacy requirements, including customer confidentiality and consent.
- Help patients by answering questions and providing information.
- Develop your skills in patient counseling and drug therapy management.
- Learn the operational side of managing a retail pharmacy.
- Provide an exceptional experience for every pharmacy customer.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health.
- A focus on providing quality customer service.
- Knowledge of over the counter products.
- Strong communication skills when interacting with patients and health care workers.
- An ability to work well within a team environment.
- A commitment to maintaining strict privacy standards.

- Location: 660 Portland Street, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
- Schedule: Part time with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: $20.60 to $27.00 per hour.
