About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students pursuing careers in pharmacy, nursing, or public health. You will work in a community pharmacy setting, gaining real-world training that complements your academic studies. This is a part-time, hourly role with flexible scheduling.
What you'll do#
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including maintaining customer confidentiality and managing consent.
- Enhance your communication skills by interacting with patients, pharmacy staff, and other health care workers.
- Gain knowledge regarding OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Develop the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy and succeed in a community setting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program related to Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health.
- A strong passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of OTC products.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients.
- A commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- The ability to strictly adhere to privacy and confidentiality requirements.

- Location: 660 Portland Street, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $20.60 - $27.00 per hour, based on experience and knowledge.
