About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students pursuing careers in pharmacy. You will work in a community retail setting, gaining real-world training to complement your academic studies while supporting the delivery of health, beauty, and convenience services.
What you'll do#
- Provide assistance in the pharmacy while keeping the customer at the center of your work.
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements, including customer confidentiality and consent management, are met.
- Enhance your knowledge of over-the-counter products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Develop communication skills by interacting with patients, employees, and other health care workers.
- Learn the operational skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A commitment to maintaining customer privacy and professional standards.
- An interest in gaining experience within a community pharmacy environment.
