About the role#
This position offers practical experience in a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a retail environment designed to support your academic growth while you learn about the expanding roles of a community pharmacist. This role is based in a locally owned store where you will gain real world training to prepare for a career in pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Maintain a clear and professional presence for the public.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Develop skills in patient counseling, drug therapy, and disease state management.
- Learn the day to day operations of a retail pharmacy environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Health Administration, Biology, or Public Health.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Knowledge of over the counter products and disease state management.
- An understanding of drug therapy and patient counseling.
- The ability to manage a retail pharmacy environment.

- Location: 150 Esplanade W, Unit 120, North Vancouver, British Columbia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, rolling term.
- Pay: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour.
