About the role#
This position offers practical experience for future pharmacists within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a locally owned and operated store, gaining exposure to the expanding roles of community pharmacists while receiving real-world training to complement your academic studies. This role is designed to prepare you for success in a community pharmacy environment.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent according to privacy requirements.
- Ensure you are clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Develop skills in patient counseling, drug therapy, and disease state management.
- Enhance your communication skills with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals.
- Learn the operational skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and privacy.
- An interest in learning about OTC products and community pharmacy management.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: $23.20 - $30.25 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge.
