About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students within a community retail setting. You will gain exposure to the daily operations of a pharmacy while working under the supervision of a pharmacist. The role focuses on providing real-world training to complement your academic studies and preparing you for a future career in community pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Learn about the expanding roles of community pharmacists.
- Enhance patient counseling skills under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Manage interactions and tasks within a retail pharmacy environment.
- Participate in training to support your academic development.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A desire to improve communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
- Interest in expanding knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Candidates 18 years or older must complete a criminal background check.

- Location: 8601 Warden Ave, Markham, ON.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part time, day shifts.
- Pay Range: $18.60 - $19.55 per hour.
- This is a unionized position.
