About the role#
This position offers practical experience for students in a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a retail environment designed to supplement your academic studies. The role focuses on real-world training to prepare you for a career as a pharmacist. You will work for a local business owner with the support of a national brand.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage a retail pharmacy operation.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including patient confidentiality and consent management.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Build your knowledge of drug therapy, disease state management, and OTC products.
- Develop patient counseling and communication skills with patients and health care workers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Kinesiology.
- Knowledge of pharmacy practices and OTC products.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

- Compensation: $22.00 - $28.75 per hour.
