About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students within a community retail setting. You will work at a locally owned store while gaining exposure to the daily operations of a pharmacy. This role is designed to prepare future pharmacists for their careers by providing real world training that complements your academic studies.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Keep the customer at the center of your work to provide an exceptional shopping experience.
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality, consent, and privacy requirements.
- Enhance your communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Expand your knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Learn the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health Administration, Nursing, or Public Health.
- A focus on providing quality care and service to pharmacy customers.
- The ability to work in an on-site, community-based environment.
Location & details#
- Location: 2850 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, BC.
- Schedule: Part time with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, based on experience and location.
- Status: This is a paid, on-site role with a rolling term.
