About the role#
This internship provides practical, real-world training within a community pharmacy setting. You will gain exposure to the expanding roles of a community pharmacist and learn the necessary skills to manage a retail pharmacy operation. This position is designed to prepare future pharmacists for success in a community environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide exceptional customer service and deliver health, beauty, and convenience services.
- Acknowledge all customers approaching the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements, including customer confidentiality and consent management, are met.
- Maintain clear visibility to the public while on duty.
- Develop skills in patient counseling, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Enhance communication skills with patients, employees, and other healthcare workers.
- Gain knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, or Biomedical Sciences.
- A commitment to keeping the customer at the center of all operations.
- Professionalism in handling sensitive patient information and privacy protocols.

- Pay Range: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
