About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students within a community retail setting. You will work under a local business owner at a Shoppers Drug Mart location. The role focuses on gaining real world training to supplement your academic studies in fields like Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the local community.
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality and consent requirements to ensure privacy.
- Collaborate with the local business owner and pharmacy team.
- Develop skills in patient counseling, drug therapy, disease state management, and OTC product knowledge.
- Learn the operational skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
- Improve communication with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and privacy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Location: 8671 No. 1 Road, Unit 11, Richmond, BC.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and location.
