About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for pharmacy students. You will work on-site in Libertyville, Illinois, under the guidance of a registered pharmacist or preceptor. This position is open to students pursuing degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Public Health, Nursing, or Chemistry.
What you'll do#
- Perform all tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Fill prescriptions in accordance with laws, company policies, and regulations.
- Provide consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, and patient counseling.
- Support company initiatives to improve pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by Illinois law.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and business priorities.
